Building trust and maintaining open lines of communication help the Remote Live Producer proactively address challenges and deliver seamless productions.

What is a Remote Live Producer?

A Remote Live Producer is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing live events, broadcasts, or streams from a remote location, rather than being physically present at the event site. To Apply Now - email your resume to [email protected]
Who: Strong, stable, nine-figure live entertainment startup backed by high-profile founders
What: CPA Controller leading event-level financial oversight, budgeting, and accounting operations
When: Immediate need
Where: 100% Remote (Travel 5-10x per year to live events)
Why: Growth - ground-level opportunity to build and scale the internal finance function
Salary: $125,000-$150,000 base, commensurate with experience
Office Environment: High-performance, fast-paced startup (<30 employees) requiring flexibility, occasional late nights, and some weekends during live events
Our client, a five-year-old high-growth company producing concerts, comedy shows, and sporting events, is seeking a hands-on CPA Controller with 7-10 years of experience in live event or production-based accounting.
This individual will play a critical role in bringing accounting operations fully in-house while leading financial oversight across all live productions. The Controller will have direct visibility into event-level financial performance and will partner closely with leadership to forecast, budget, and evaluate profitability across each production.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cost forecasting and budgeting for live events (venue rental, staging, lighting, production, etc.)
  • Perform project-based accounting and financial modeling to determine event profitability
  • Reconcile event budgets on-site to prevent cost overruns
  • Transition Accounts Payable from outsourced to in-house operations
  • Oversee internal Accounts Receivable processes
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning and growth initiatives
  • Support the continued build-out of the internal accounting infrastructure
  • Travel to live events approximately 5-10 times annually
Qualifications:
  • CPA required
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience, ideally within live events, concerts, production studios, television production, or sports production
  • Strong cost forecasting and budgeting experience in production-based environments
  • Experience with project accounting and event-level reconciliation
  • Comfortable in a demanding, early-stage startup environment
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
  • Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends as events require

This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role at a company experiencing rapid growth, where your financial oversight will directly influence the success and scalability of major live productions.
