Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is setting out to become the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.
Bloomberg has a rare opportunity for a motivated, hardworking Senior Producer to join its weekend morning news program, 'Bloomberg This Weekend.' The ideal candidate for this role will have experience line producing, segment producing and field producing. They will also have experience leading producers, anchors and operations staff in a live control room environment. This weekend show airs live on both video and audio platforms, requiring a unique skillset that is adaptable and able to work across a variety of mediums. Responsibilities include booking guests, writing scripts, coordinating graphic elements, directing on-screen content in a live control room, and executing a social media strategy across platforms. Producers are expected to create and maintain rundowns, build graphic elements and write headlines that support and highlight on-screen content.
The ideal candidate for this role will have strong editorial experience, work efficiently to execute new ideas and use creative production techniques to produce compelling content. The weekly schedule for this role is Wednesday-Sunday.
We'll trust you to:
  • Identify and book high-profile guests
  • Create and edit broadcast scripts
  • Write accurate, compelling headlines under tight deadlines
  • Coordinate and collaborate with reporters and editors across the newsroom
  • Direct show anchors, audio engineers, video ops and producers from the control room
  • Curate content for social media platforms
  • Build and maintain rundowns with related video and graphic elements
  • Create a variety of graphics, including charts, headshots and maps
  • Build video assets, including photo montages, pre-taped interviews, SOTs and B-roll
  • Field produce on location, when required
  • Be creative; visualize new ideas and implement them

You'll need to have:
  • Exceptional editorial and production skills
  • Strong knowledge of TV and radio control room operations
  • Experience working with high-profile talent and guests
  • Ability to write accurate news copy and headlines quickly
  • Proficiency with newsroom software systems such as ENPS, and agility with Windows
  • Experience producing field shoots
  • Knowledge of lighting, audio, graphics and studio blocking
  • Availability to work weekends
  • Ability to adjust working schedule as business needs require

Salary Range = 115,000 - 150,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
