• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments of clients to understand their unique experiences, personal histories, and mental health needs.
• Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans that cater to individual circumstances, ensuring a holistic approach is applied in therapy sessions.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions. For example, you might facilitate a support group for parents navigating mental health challenges while addressing the importance of familial dynamics in therapy.
• Collaborate extensively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure continuity of services.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing severe mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive timely and effective intervention.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment modalities, and community resources, empowering them on their journey to recovery.
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Actively participate in case conferences and team meetings, engaging in culture competency training to strengthen your understanding of diverse patient backgrounds.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed and incorporating current research trends and evidence-based practices into your therapeutic work.

Our diverse client base includes individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as LGBTQ+ community members and immigrant families. As a therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing effective and culturally responsive care, addressing specific relational and societal factors that impact mental health. This may include guiding clients through the unique challenges presented by their backgrounds and experiences.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid professional license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
• A deep understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy, particularly using inclusive and culturally-responsive methodologies.
• Proven skills in crisis intervention and the ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications that support counseling practices.
• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring the confidentiality of client interactions.
• A collaborative spirit, effectively working as part of a multidisciplinary team devoted to enhancing client outcomes.

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health setting, delivering culturally sensitive therapy and support.

• A track record of creating successful treatment plans and producing positive client outcomes in therapy.
