Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat to assist clients in enhancing their mental health.
• Encouraging clients to explore their emotions and experiences, fostering self-awareness and healthy relationship dynamics.
• Acting as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining personal goals and developing actionable plans to achieve them.
• Evaluating clients' mental conditions and collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans using a solution-focused approach grounded in your clinical expertise.
• Utilizing our all-in-one counselor dashboard for efficient case management, facilitating live sessions, and maintaining secure client communications.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities provided by the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a carefully pre-screened patient population consisting of stable adults with low acuity mental health concerns. This ensures that you will provide care in a manageable, supportive therapeutic environment. We match counselors with clients based on their specialties and demographic preferences, allowing for productive therapeutic relationships and more effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A completed Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Active and unencumbered licensure as a practicing mental health professional in Illinois, specifically as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.
• The capacity to work independently without supervision and a commitment to ethical practice standards.

Preferred Experience

We seek applicants with at least 2 years of relevant experience in mental health counseling. Strong interpersonal abilities, a sympathetic nature, and proficiency in utilizing technology for therapeutic practices are essential for success in this role. No provisional or limited licenses will be accepted; candidates must be in good standing with their licensing boards.

Compensation and Benefits

At Helping Hands Mental Healthcare LTD, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually, depending on the number of hours worked. We provide a sign-on bonus, direct weekly deposits, and for full-time counselors, a monthly healthcare stipend is available.
