Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' emotional and behavioral concerns, developing tailored therapy plans based on individual needs and treatment goals.
  • Provide high-quality individual, couple, and family therapy, employing a range of therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused approaches.
  • Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation of therapeutic interventions and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Facilitate collaborative treatment planning with clients and, when appropriate, their support systems to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in the field of marriage and family therapy, utilizing relevant continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct virtual sessions, ensuring technological fluency and adaptability to meet client needs effectively.
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards, ensuring all patient interactions and records comply with HIPAA regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Best Life Therapy, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges such as communication issues, relational conflicts, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Your contributions will significantly impact the mental health and overall well-being of clients, empowering them to navigate life's challenges through effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related mental health field is required.
  • An active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in clinical care, with a focus on treatment planning and execution.
