As a licensed mental health counselor at The Sanctuary, you will benefit from a fully remote work setting, allowing you to counsel clients from the comfort of your home or any location of your choice. Our outpatient offices are supplemented with advanced digital tools that streamline your counseling practice, making it easier for you to connect with clients. • Conduct individual counseling sessions using videoconferencing technology, ensuring ethical and compassionate engagement with clients.
• Utilize evidence-based, solution-focused modalities to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, guiding them toward healthier coping mechanisms and improved emotional well-being.
• Facilitate discussions that help clients gain insights into their feelings, relationships, and personal experiences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams when necessary to enhance client care and outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training opportunities and peer support initiatives.

This role primarily involves working with stable, low acuity adults who present varying degrees of mental health challenges. Your expertise will help individuals develop essential life skills and achieve a better quality of life. • A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current, state-issued mental health counseling license allowing for independent practice. Please specify your qualifications, including the licensed state on your application.
• Licensure credentials may include, but are not limited to:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Psychologist (PsyD)
• No limited or provisional licenses and no history of disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine empathetic nature.
• Proficient computer literacy and the ability to navigate teletherapy software and platforms.
• Access to a computer with webcam and audio capabilities, alongside a reliable internet connection for conducting video sessions.

• Experience in providing therapy to diverse populations, particularly those within the foster care and family support systems.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
• Previous experience working in a remote setting, utilizing technology effectively for client engagement.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or other counseling management systems.
