Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients based on their unique needs and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a supportive environment for open communication and progress.
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of client information.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients, contributing to multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Heart & Listen Clinical Counseling, you will primarily work with diverse individuals and families who are facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clientele includes those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Your role will be to provide not only therapeutic support but also education and resources to empower clients in their personal recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is essential.
• At least two years of clinical experience in counseling is preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical considerations in mental health care is necessary to navigate the complexities of the profession.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specializations in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment are highly preferred.
• Experience working in a telehealth setting and proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and related technologies will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work cohesively within a healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
