Job description

As a Remote C++ Programmer for the company you will design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency applications often working on highly-complex systems at your home-base and on-site as required (20%).


Embedded technologies to crafting code that is efficient, reusable code, optimize memory usage, fix bugs, diagnose and collaborate with various teams in the US for meeting exact technical specifications by our Client.


DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code for Global Combat Support applications.
  • Optimization: Analyze and improve application performance, memory usage, and speed, work with various teams across the United States and communicate directly with both Client and Sub-Contractor on a weekly basis.
  • Maintenance: Debug, test, and troubleshoot existing codebases to fix bottlenecks of even code developed by other teams, contractor and client requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (QA, frontend, product) to define and implement features and code capabilities.
  • Documentation: Create Technical and Design Documentation and User-Functionality Manual and documents/videos and training tools (using MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint).


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Language Proficiency: Strong, in-depth knowledge of C++ (demonstrable by past-performance or by taking a skill assessment program (lasting 7-9 days), on-site course.
  • Tools & Libraries: Experience with both legacy and new Standard Template Library (STL), Boost, or platform-specific API’s.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and advanced algorithms using supplied AI tools by the employer  and training is provided for AI tools and use.
  • Platform Knowledge: Experience and Knowledge of LINUX, Windows, or embedded systems environments with and deployment of programs and datasets using the AKAMI Edge Servers.
  • Presentation of work performed: Weekly team meetings via secure Teams Meetings will be required on Tuesday and Friday weekly updates to last 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, most all to be performed remotely with 2-week advance notice to travel to required locations for on-site meetings.
  • Legal requirements working as a C2C or W-2: You will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement for any programming work and agree that not only confidentiality is maintained but also no work or solutions shall be shared with any clients outside of the employer. As a sub-contractor (agent), you will also sign a non-disclosure and non-compete with the company and the United States Air Force. The employer may offer full-time employment upon completion of a successful application development and deployment. If so, this must be made to the attention of the company immediately ( a full-time employment could be offered after 18 months of contract work).
  • U.S. Citizenship is a requirement of this employment opportunity.
