Job Description
As a Field Services Technician, you will be responsible for all things hardware. You will provide on-site and remote advanced repair and troubleshooting, provide repair and maintenance training to customers, act as a tier 3 hardware support resource and trial new retrofits and recalls.
Your goal is to provide customer certainty and confidence by efficiently returning customer systems to operation and minimizing downtime experienced. You will receive support from the rest of the OTTO Motors production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that your work is streamlined. You will also provide feedback to the team regarding cost and complexity as necessary. You will report to the Manager, Field Services and will be hybrid, working out of your home office and being onsite at customers in Tennessee.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Support and repair existing customer deployments (requires traveling to customer location)
  • Audit systems to verify optimal functionality (hardware preventative maintenance, network audits, user interactions, etc.)
  • Deliver training to partners, customers and end-users.
  • Execute and track recalls on deployed hardware at customer site.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback to internal teams to continually improve our products and focus our offerings.
  • Review customer workflow, software and database systems

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal authorization to work in US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel in Canada and US for Business.
  • A valid drivers license.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Linux (Ubuntu)
  • ROS
  • C, C++, Python
  • Comptia, A+
  • Comptia Network+
  • Experience troubleshooting Networking and Wireless issues
  • Experience working with complex linked systems
  • Exceptional professionalism and client-facing skills (frequent interaction with customers required)
  • Electrical system debugging and repair
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience working with your hands
  • Software system integration and system debugging
  • Computer networking and applicable industrial standards
