We are currently seeking a AWS / Application Production Support Engineer - HYBRID to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking an Intermediate Application / Production Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for critical business applications, including payment gateway systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SQL, Linux, Windows, and observability tools, along with working knowledge of AWS and ServiceNow.

This role requires proactive incident management, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional global teams to ensure high availability and performance of applications.


Day-to-Day Job Duties:

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications and payment systems
  • Monitor applications using observability tools and proactively identify performance issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve P1/P2 incidents within SLA timelines
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
  • Execute SQL queries for data validation, issue diagnosis, and reporting
  • Work with Linux/Windows environments for debugging and system-level support
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution
  • Manage tickets and workflows using ServiceNow
  • Support deployment activities, releases, and change management processes
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident bridges as needed
  • Document issues, solutions, and knowledge articles for continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Application Support / Production Support roles
  • 3+ years of Strong hands-on experience with:
    • SQL (querying, troubleshooting, data analysis)
    • Linux and/or Windows environments
    • Application monitoring / observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.)
  • 3+ years of Experience in incident management, RCA, and SLA-driven support environments
  • 3+ years of Working knowledge of AWS cloud services
  • 3+ years of Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have (Preferred):

  • Experience in payments or banking domain
  • Basic understanding of APIs and microservices architecture
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and release management
  • Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python)
  • Experience working in Agile environments

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
