Position Summary

Teksouth is seeking a skilled Power Platform Innovator. This role leverages the Microsoft Power Platform to deliver custom app solutions that address unique business needs for both government and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in Power BI and the MSFT Power Platform, with experience in data modeling, DAX, and report development, as well as expertise in Excel, including complex functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.

This position will serve as a technical and functional bridge between Air Force financial management stakeholders and the Power Platform development team. The ideal candidate will combine strong Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities with Air Force financial management experience, enabling them to understand financial-management requirements, translate functional requirements into technical Power Apps solutions, and communicate effectively with both financial and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power Apps solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Generate solution documentation and Power BI dashboards to support customer needs.
  • Perform agile prototyping sessions to showcase solution possibilities and develop creative solutions for complex business use cases.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Teksouth standards.
  • Document feedback during product development and manage action items throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work directly with customers to understand and define their needs; conduct research to support solution development.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and collaborative sessions to deliver optimized solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in Power Platform.
  • Conduct training sessions for Teksouth-developed products to enhance customer understanding and application.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • BS/BA degree and 7 years of equivalent professional experience in the below disciplines
  • Partner directly with Air Force financial management stakeholders to understand, analyze, and translate functional requirements into Power Platform and Power BI solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of Air Force financial management processes, terminology, systems, and data to support the design and development of dashboards, applications, and automated workflows.
  • Serve as a functional subject-matter resource to the development team, helping translate financial management requirements and business processes into actionable technical requirements.
  • Experience with two or more Power Platform technologies: Power BI and the Power Platform suite (Power Apps and Power Automate).
  • Foundational knowledge in database development (e.g., Dataverse, MS Access, SQL).
  • Basic proficiency in at least one programming, functional, or query language (e.g., Power FX, SQL, DAX, VBA, Python, DataBricks).
  • Experience working with large datasets, including financial data, operational data, or other relevant domains, with a focus on data analysis, visualization, and insights
  • Air Force Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation budgeting system experience, JOCAS, DEAMS, FASTR
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with proficiency in complex functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Attained or has the ability to earn the Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows, or business process flows).
  • Skills in business requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Experience documenting solutions, processes, and creating checklists.

Preferred

  • Experience building Model-Driven Power Apps.
  • Knowledge of Dataverse (Data Cloud Platform for Power Platform, and Dynamics 365).
  • Experience with custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with software development (ASP.NET, Java) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with Tableau or Qlik.
