The Help Desk Agent plays a critical role in ensuring seamless IT operations within a dynamic technology environment. As the first point of contact for internal and external users experiencing technical issues, this position is essential for maintaining productivity, system integrity, and user satisfaction. The Help Desk Agent is responsible for diagnosing, resolving, and documenting technical problems across a diverse range of platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, and enterprise network systems. With expertise in Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Remote Desktop Protocol, the agent ensures reliable connectivity and secure access to corporate resources. This role demands strong troubleshooting acumen, technical proficiency, and a customer-focused mindset, all while adhering to IT security best practices. The successful candidate will contribute to a robust IT support ecosystem, enabling business continuity and supporting digital transformation initiatives within the organization.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory, including account creation, password resets, and group policy management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity across wired and wireless environments.
  • Support and maintain Apple macOS systems, including software deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Office suite installations, updates, and user-specific configuration issues.
  • Utilize Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and other remote support tools to efficiently resolve issues without physical access.
  • Document all support interactions, incidents, and resolutions in the IT service management (ITSM) system for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate complex issues and participate in system maintenance and upgrade projects.
  • Enforce IT security policies and assist in identifying and mitigating potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as required to maintain 24/7 operational continuity.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles within a technology or enterprise environment.
  • Valid Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Apple macOS systems, including configuration, updates, and security settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite administration and user support.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues using remote access tools such as RDP, TeamViewer, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and compliance practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume support environment.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
