Responsibilities
The Lead Field Technician serves as the senior technical resource for field operations, responsible for performing complex installations, deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, and leading field technicians to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
This role combines hands-on technical work with field leadership, coordinating daily activities, mentoring technicians, and acting as the primary on-site liaison between customers, project managers, and internal teams. There is typically travel to different client sites.
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of field technicians on various job sites.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
• Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and technical guidance to field technicians.
• Escalate complex technical or operational issues to management when necessary.
• Perform advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of systems, equipment, or infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in the field.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
• Ensure all installations comply with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and tools required for field work.
• Track project progress and provide status updates to management.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and within scope.
• Review completed work for quality and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within field operations.

Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with field services, hardware deployments, and multi-site rollouts
• Experience leading technicians or serving as the senior technical resource in the field
• Solid working knowledge of SCCM imaging, Windows device configuration, and endpoint deployment
• Ability to walk into a site, assess what is needed, and take control of execution
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
• Strong communication skills with both technicians and client-facing site contacts
• Professional presence, sound judgment, and ability to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs as needed and work in various environmental conditions
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to job sites
