Job description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring remote pharmacists! For this role you must reside within Illinois. This role is work from home and all equipment is provided. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.
Type: 6-month contract, opportunity for extension or full-time offer
Schedule: 8-hour shift between 5am - Midnight CST, 5 days a week which may or may not include a weekend day(s)
Pay: $58 to $60 an hour, based on location

ยท Training for the first four weeks is Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm CST. This training time is subject to change.

ยท Shift after training is an 8-hour shift with one-half or an hour lunch. Candidate must be available as early as 5am and as late as midnight.

ยท Candidate will work 5 days a week which may or may not include a weekend day(s).


Primary Responsibilities:

ยท Serve as a clinical resource working from a computer, reviewing prior authorizations and receiving phone calls from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and/or healthcare providers to gather, clarify, and assess detailed clinical information.

ยท Interpret medical and pharmacy policy criteria to make sound and timely coverage determinations in accordance with federal, state, and organizational guidelines.

ยท Consult directly with prescribing physicians and healthcare providers to clarify clinical questions, interpret guideline criteria, and provide decisions on prior authorization requests.

ยท Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and/or prescribers to provide clinical insights on appropriate medication usage. Recommend cost-effective, formulary-compliant therapeutic alternatives when applicable, supporting optimal patient care and medication access.


Required Qualifications:

ยท Bachelors or Doctorate of Pharmacy

ยท Active State Pharmacist License

ยท 6+ months of pharmacist experience

ยท Able to work 5am to 12 midnight with ability to work flexible hours, including OT and weekends

ยท Must reside within Illinois
