Job description

SGA Dental Partners is hiring for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support our practices on the west coast. While this opportunity is remote, the ideal partner will reside in California, Arizona, Utah, or Nevada and have occasional travel to support the team.

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic and hands-on partner to regional and practice leaders, driving high performance, engagement, and retention. This role provides day-to-day counsel and leadership across the full employee lifecycle, including talent management, employee relations, performance, development, and compliance, while aligning people strategies to business objectives.

The ideal candidate should be self-driven and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role enjoys building partnerships, problem-solving, processing multiple tasks for various teams with meticulous attention to detail, and thrives in an environment with constant multiple priorities. This is a highly collaborative, customer service driven role, and has a strong business impact through the people and culture support function.

Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership & Strategy

  • Partner with Regional Operations Directors and leaders to align people strategies with business goals and operational priorities.

  • Build strong relationships across assigned regions, providing proactive guidance on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and culture.

  • Maintain business literacy of regional performance, financial drivers, and strategic plans.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Collaborate with regional operations director to identify hiring needs and recruiting department to notify of hiring needs.

  • Ensure structured onboarding experiences, including 30-60-90 day plans for all new hires.

  • Utilize HCM system to facilitate a streamless team member onboarding experience.

  • Facilitate manager new hire onboarding training and orientations.

Performance Management & Development

  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee development, and engagement.

  • Partner with leaders to implement performance action plans.

  • Support identification, development, and retention of key talent.

  • Coach and mentor team members to strengthen capability, performance, and career growth.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and recommending outcomes.

  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and compliance with federal and state laws.

  • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.

  • Administer terminations and support separation processes.

Engagement & Culture

  • Analyze engagement data and partner with leaders to develop and implement action plans.

  • Support and execute engagement initiatives that enhance team experience and retention.

  • Champion a culture of high performance, accountability, and inclusion.

Compensation, Benefits & Leave Management

  • Conduct compensation analysis and advise leaders on pay practices and decisions.

  • Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.

  • Support communication and implementation of compensation and benefits programs.

Data, Analytics & HCM Systems

  • Analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and drive improvements.

  • Maintain accurate employee data and HR transactions within the HRIS system.

  • Generate reports and provide insights to leaders and HR leadership.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Lead and support HR processes across the employee lifecycle.

  • Drive continuous improvement in HR programs and practices.

Key Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel to practice locations as needed.

Key Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • 4-6+ years of HR experience, including HR Business Partner experience.

  • Experience supporting large employee populations preferred.

  • Healthcare or DSO experience preferred.

  • Workday experience preferred

  • HR certification preferred.
