Job description

Role: Building Information Modeling (BIM) Designer

Location: San Francisco HQ / Houston, TX / Remote

Duration: 3-6 Months (Contract to Hire)

Experience: 3+ Years

Job Description:

  • Develop, update and maintain 2D & 3D drawings and models in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Civil 3D and Revit
  • Support multidiscipline layouts — equipment & general-arrangement plans, civil drawing support — and maintain CAD standards across projects
  • Ensure high drawing/model accuracy and strict adherence to project and company standards
  • Drive automation & efficiency with basic scripting — Python, PowerShell, AutoLISP
  • Prepare drawings and models for design reviews, construction and field execution
  • Assist with laser-scanning registration from LiDAR and SLAM-based scanners (scan-to-BIM)
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers and external consultants across disciplines

Must-have requirements

  • 3+ years as a CAD Designer, CAD Drafter, BIM Designer or similar
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D and Plant 3D preferred)
  • Experience on industrial, mining, manufacturing or infrastructure projects (preferred)
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines — not limited to a single trade
