Job Description Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a LiDAR Sensing Analyst, a W2 contract opportunity with one of our clients. Candidates should be willing to work on our W2 ONLY. No C2C!.

Job Title: LiDAR/Remote Sensing ANALYST Role Type: W2 only, no C2C, no 1099 Duration: 6-month contract Location: St. Louis, Missouri Schedule: On-site 10-hour workday, 4 days a week Occasional Storm/Emergency support Education: Bachelor's degree is required Position Summary: The LiDAR or Remote Sensing Analyst is responsible for creation of RAW spatial data including but not limited to point clouds, orthomosaic imagery, and 3D models / Digital Twins. A LiDAR or Remote Sensing Analyst will be responsible for further processing of created RAW data including but not limited to classification, geolocation, spatial analysis, image analysis, and other required processes to fulfill customer requested deliverables.

Prior knowledge of industry software: Leica Register \ Register 360, Phoenix LiDAR Spatial Explorer, Novatel Inertial Explorer, Pix4d Matic, Global Mapper Pro, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Trimble VRS, Trimble Access, PLS-CAD, and others. Analysts will perform geospatial data processing, creating various digital twins/models, 3D datasets, point clouds, PLS-CAD models, orthophotos, and infrared image analysis and continuously improve processes to support growing geospatial program requirements. Analyst will work to keep field equipment operational and work environments organized for all programs, including 3D data capture, drone operations, and LiDAR collection operations.

Key responsibilities: Gather, organize, and process geospatial data captured by remote sensing or other medium. QA/QC field datasets for accuracy and completeness and assure quality deliverables as related to remote sensing processes. Produce and maintain various 3D models using Leica (.lgsx) or other formats

Create delivery datasets for pre/post LiDAR data collection for various stakeholders under the direction of senior staff and as needed, including reports, geospatial image products (orthophotos, etc.) and other data packages. Continuously work to integrate new processes into the client's Geospatial framework. Develop and apply geospatial solutions to meet customer requests Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with geospatial data and related software Prepare field equipment for missions, including LiDAR and related equipment, drones, survey devices, cleaning and packing targets, maintaining production facility, help with loading and kitting field vehicles for missions, help with unloading equipment and inventory after missions, etc

Support potential 365/24/7 after-hours work for emergency callouts. Be available for periodic, infrequent field visits, driving own vehicle to locations in service territory Assist in the development and delivery of training for users Educational Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required. One or more years of experience with Leica, PLS-CAD, and Trimble surveying applications preferred.

Part 107 UAS certification acquired or the ability to obtain it is a plus. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate Proven analytical skills, able to make sound decisions with ambiguous information and possess a high level of organizational skills; creative self-starter with strong interpersonal skills - able to work effectively as a team and with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization; excellent communication skills, including presentation, written, and verbal. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods and interact with a computer for long periods of time.
