Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings for students to identify their needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide short-term individualized counseling, crisis interventions, and therapeutic support tailored to various concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress management.
  • Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions and workshops focusing on critical topics that affect student wellness, including stress relief strategies and coping mechanisms.
  • Work collaboratively with academic advisors, residential life personnel, and student organizations to create a well-rounded support system for students.
  • Implement outreach initiatives by organizing mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events to educate the student body about available resources.
  • Maintain confidential and organized records in compliance with ethical guidelines, ensuring that each student's information is secured.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be college students who may be facing various mental health challenges related to academic pressures, social dynamics, personal issues, and transitional changes. Understanding the unique concerns that this demographic encounters, the Mental Health Therapist will implement strategies that resonate with the student experience and validate their individual journeys.

Qualifications
  • An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is necessary for this position.
