The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients, facilitating their journey towards mental health and emotional well-being. Although primarily remote, some interactions with clients and interdisciplinary team members may be conducted via telehealth platforms or in community-based settings.

• Conduct in-depth assessments and create personalized treatment plans based on professional evaluations of patients' mental health needs.
• Provide individual counseling sessions that address various issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, among others.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops that focus on enhancing coping skills, building resilience, and encouraging personal growth.
• Collaborate with medical teams, support staff, and commmunity organizations to assure seamless, integrated care for patients.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives, such as educational seminars and mental health awareness campaigns, to promote understanding and de-stigmatization of mental health issues.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

Our patient demographic encompasses a diverse range of individuals, each facing unique challenges that require tailored therapeutic intervention. As a counselor at Core Healing Counseling, you will work with adults, adolescents, and families, adapting your therapeutic approach to suit the distinct needs and cultural backgrounds of each client.

• Must possess an active and unrestricted state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• In-depth understanding of common mental health issues and challenges that arise within a clinical setting, particularly in a community health context.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective engagement with patients and collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices and brief therapy models relevant to a counseling center environment.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively while efficiently prioritizing tasks and adapting to fast-paced clinical demands.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a healthcare setting or community health clinic.
• Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and handling critical situations with professionalism and care.
• Familiarity with utilizing teletherapy platforms and electronic health record systems to enhance patient care delivery.
