• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, using psychological evaluations and standardized measures.
• Create individualized treatment plans that align with each client's unique goals and preferences, incorporating specific therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure the diverse needs of clients are met.
• Provide educational resources and emotional support not only to clients but also to their families, fostering a deeper understanding of mood disorders and promoting effective self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers as part of an integrated care model, ensuring that all aspects of a client's well-being are addressed.
• Engage in continuous professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research and advancements within mood disorder treatment methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, complying with all legal and ethical standards to protect client privacy.
• Contribute to case discussions, team meetings, and training activities that promote a knowledge-sharing culture.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and the needs of clients within the community, striving to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues.

This role primarily involves working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including those facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, and bipolar conditions. You will also engage with clients from various backgrounds, including marginalized communities such as the homeless, refugees, or domestic abuse survivors. Your ability to provide compassionate care and build trusting relationships will be essential as you support them on their recovery journeys.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a secure and trusting therapeutic environment for clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and understanding toward clients' experiences, enabling a nonjudgmental and supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while balancing caseloads and administrative duties.

Experience working with a diverse client population, particularly in the realm of mood disorders, is highly desired. Familiarity with various therapeutic frameworks and modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
