Job description

Job Title: Senior Full Stack .NET Developer
Location: Remote (Canada)
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months
Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM MT

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer for an exciting Remote contract opportunity supporting the development, maintenance, and modernization of investment and economic intelligence applications. The successful candidate will provide full-stack development expertise across cloud-based, data-driven web applications while supporting ongoing enhancements, modernization initiatives, quality assurance, and production support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop frontend website architecture and backend web applications.

  • Maintain, enhance, and upgrade existing software solutions.

  • Work closely with product management teams and designers to implement web features and functionality.

  • Develop, write, modify, integrate, and test website-related code and web application interfaces.

  • Conduct testing and analyze data to monitor quality, security, performance, and user experience.

  • Develop and implement procedures for ongoing website revisions and enhancements.

  • Create visually appealing and responsive user interactions.

  • Monitor and maintain website functionality and application performance.

  • Participate in website architecture and application design activities.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet current and strategic requirements.

  • Provide application functional and technical expertise.

  • Execute unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

  • Perform Technical Solution Quality Assurance (QA) activities.

  • Support production defect resolution and warranty activities.

  • Maintain technical documentation for application design and enhancements.

  • Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies and meetings.

  • Identify and coordinate application release schedules.

  • Provide status reporting and project updates as required.

  • Support cloud-based environments and data platforms.

  • Provide on-call support as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience architecting complex web-based component solutions using StencilJS.

  • 6+ years of experience developing data content application systems using Umbraco CMS.

  • 6+ years of experience working with socio-economic data.

  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing data pipelines and data applications using SQL.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience analyzing and resolving application, website, and API performance issues.

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.

  • Strong experience with .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, LINQ, and MS SQL.

  • Experience with Angular, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.

  • Experience with cloud architecture, Agile methodologies, ETL processes, QA automation, compliance, and security.

  • Experience with data visualization and charting libraries such as AmCharts.

  • Experience with mapping technologies including Mapbox, Leaflet, and ArcGIS.

  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with CI/CD and SDLC automation.

  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing AI assistants for data-driven applications.

  • 2+ years of experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.

  • 2+ years of experience using modern AI development tools and technologies.

  • Experience working within the Government of Alberta environment or similar large-scale environments.

  • Experience with Tableau, AmCharts, Mapbox, and other visualization technologies.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
