Coast Abilities Mental and Behavioral Center is seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our remote team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a vibrant outpatient psychiatric practice based in Modesto, California. As a key member of our mental health team, you will engage with clients experiencing a variety of mental health conditions and employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster improved well-being.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs, challenges, and goals, leading to tailored treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, couples, and family therapy using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused approaches.
- Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, creating a safe space for patients to share their experiences and learn from each other.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and enhance treatment outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring that clients receive immediate assistance.
- Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower their healing process.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the security of patient information.
- Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and enrich collective knowledge.
- Stay abreast of the latest advances in mental health care and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. Your role is pivotal in helping these clients navigate their journeys towards emotional and mental wellness. By employing evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s needs, you will significantly contribute to their recovery and quality of life.
Qualifications- A minimum of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
- Demonstrated expertise in mental health disorders and a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Proven ability to create and implement effective treatment plans through comprehensive assessments.
- Experience providing therapy to diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence and empathy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a strong commitment to professional ethics and boundaries.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and care coordination.
- Capacity to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a collaborative approach to patient care.
While a minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's Degree, candidates with a Master's or Doctoral Degree in a relevant field, along with prior experience in outpatient settings or community health clinics, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies is advantageous.
