Coastal Light Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and culturally adept Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide full-time remote mental health services. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments with a culturally sensitive approach, gaining insights into patients’ experiences to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, customizing approaches by considering individual cultural backgrounds and personal preferences.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that target various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure cohesive care and integrated treatment pathways for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support, utilizing de-escalation techniques to assist individuals during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders and available treatment options, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
• Contribute to team discussions during case conferences and undergo continuous training focused on cultural competency and evolving mental health practices.
• Stay abreast of current research and innovations in mental health therapy, ensuring practices align with best evidence standards.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW recognized in Georgia.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with best practices for delivering culturally competent therapy.
• Experience providing both individual and group therapy with an emphasis on inclusivity, alongside a robust understanding of crisis intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing rapport with a diverse range of clients.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient records and tracking treatment progress.
• Strong commitment to ethical practices and maintaining confidentiality, understanding the significance of a professional therapeutic relationship.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to team dynamics.

• Demonstrated experience working with underrepresented communities and integrating cultural sensitivity into therapeutic practices.
• Previous roles in outpatient settings with high caseload management would be ideal.
