Job description

* We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the continental US *
ICF's Digital Modernization and Experience (DMX) Division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven department, seeking a ServiceNow Platform Architect who will serve as a key member of the ServiceNow Platform team.
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Architect to lead the design, governance, and strategic evolution of the ServiceNow platform across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in ServiceNow architecture, integration strategies, platform governance, and enterprise IT service management practices. This role will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Local candidates may be expected to work at the client site in Rockville, MD, at least 1-2 days per week.
What You Will Do:
  • Platform Governance, Architecture and Roadmap: Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow platform architecture and roadmap. Lead architecture design for ServiceNow modules including HRSD, CSM, and custom applications. Establish platform governance, development standards, and best practices. Evaluate new ServiceNow capabilities and recommend adoption strategies. Provide technical leadership for platform upgrades, integrations, and enterprise implementations. Collaborate with enterprise architects and business leaders to align ServiceNow capabilities with business strategy.
  • Solution Design and Architecture: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to gather requirements, understand business processes, and design robust and scalable ServiceNow solutions. Create detailed technical designs that align with the clients' short- and long-term needs and leverage the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and integrations with third-party technologies effectively.
  • Technical Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams, providing expert guidance on ServiceNow capabilities, customization options, and best practices. Identify potential challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them.
  • Implementation Support: Work closely with project managers, developers, and other teams to support the implementation of ServiceNow solutions. Provide technical oversight and ensure that the design is accurately translated into a functional solution. Ensure deliveries adhere to ServiceNow established best practices and processes.
  • Integration and Automation: Design scalable integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, MID Server, Integration Hub, and APIs. Ensure data consistency and integrity across different platforms.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct performance analysis and optimizations to enhance the overall efficiency and responsiveness of ServiceNow and integrated solutions. Identify and address bottlenecks to improve system performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Design quality assurance plans and ensure that the technical deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Project Management: Work closely with project managers to keep projects within scope and timeline. Communicate regularly with management and clients on the status of projects.
  • Security and Compliance: Design the security plan and ensure that all ServiceNow and integrated solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures and maintain a secure environment. Ensure adherence to ITIL, security, compliance, and data governance standards.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guidelines. Contribute to the knowledge base and share best practices within the team and the client. Lead the sharing of knowledge across our customers, including white papers, demonstrations, and lunch and learns.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in ServiceNow and integrated technologies, tools, and industry trends. Continuously enhance your expertise to provide cutting-edge solutions and innovative approaches. Mentor developers, administrators, and technical consultants on ServiceNow architecture and development standards.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality solutions that exceed their expectations.

Required Experiences and Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific/technical discipline
  • 8+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions
  • 5+ years of experience architecting ServiceNow solutions
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • Must be a United States (U.S.) Citizen or Green card, and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract, and laws do apply
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with the government
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.

  • Vast experience across numerous parts of the ServiceNow platform and comfort with commonly integrated third-party technologies

  • Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$119,323.00 - $202,850.00
