Position Overview

Premier Counseling & Wellness Services seeks a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This full-time remote position will allow you to provide culturally sensitive mental health support to individuals and families, as they navigate the complexities of life. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in fostering healthy relationships and facilitating emotional healing in a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT at Premier Counseling & Wellness Services, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations for new clients to identify their mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Providing high-quality, therapeutic counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions and modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) based on client needs.
  • Facilitating support groups, workshops, and educational sessions that address various topics relevant to mental health and well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and treatment progress in compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA.
  • Engaging in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your therapeutic skills and stay updated on best practices in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. You will be expected to deliver culturally competent therapy that respects and understands each client's unique background, beliefs, and customs. Providing bilingual therapy in both Spanish and English will be highly valued, allowing for broader access to support for our Latino community and others.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree from an accredited graduate program in Counseling or Marriage and Family Studies.
  • An active, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide bilingual psychotherapy services in both Spanish and English.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health setting with a focus on family dynamics, child development, or behavioral health issues.
  • Respect for individual and family cultural backgrounds, with a commitment to tailoring therapeutic approaches accordingly.
  • Capability to work effectively across diverse client demographics and with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences will be advantageous:

  • Specialized training in therapeutic modalities such as CBT, TF-CBT, or EMDR.
  • Expertise in particular areas such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.
  • Prior experience as an in-network provider working with insurance panels.
  • A track record demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a capacity for empathy and self-reflection.
Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a sign-on bonus, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for continuous professional development.
