Join our team! Successful and leading title insurance agency is seeking an experienced Chief Title Officer to join our team. This position is responsible for handling large volumes of files for Commercial transactions. Attention to detail, great communication skills (verbal & written) great organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for internal (escrow officers, title personnel, sales reps, and operations team members) and external (clients, brokers, lenders, and attorneys) customers for commercial and residential underwriting
  • Supervise, lead, and mentor junior title personnel within the Arizona office
  • Review title insurance products, such as commitments, pro forma policies, policies, endorsements, and guarantees, with the support of in-house legal team or agency counsel, if necessary
  • Along with escrow officers, work with buyers, sellers, and lenders, and their respective counsel to clear and close transactions
  • Assist coordinators in preparing invoices
  • Interact with and assist, when needed, sales reps on work related to properties in Arizona
  • Work closely with counsel and agency underwriting personnel on complex underwriting matters
  • Responsible for reviewing and responding to title objections letters and preparing pro forma policies and endorsements, and requesting and obtaining approval for High Liability and over-limit Closing Protection Letters, when needed
  • Responsible for title operations, workflow, and work quality within the Arizona office. Ensure that critical underwriting dates and follow-ups are being met.
  • Review of documents, including entity/authority documents, for closing
  • Recognize title defects and work with clients and, if necessary, counsel and/or agency counsel as to insurability, when necessary
  • Correspond with clients to obtain missing documentation and/or clarify information
Requirements:
  • Candidates with experience and strong knowledge of Title Insurance are encouraged to apply.
  • 15+ plus years of experience
  • Knowledge of SoftPro Select a plus
  • Great time management skills
  • Outstanding work ethic with the ability to work in both team oriented and self-directed environments.
  • Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
  • High level of accountability

  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
