Position Overview

St. Jude Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote role. You will play a pivotal role in the mental health landscape, employing evidence-based therapeutic practices to enhance the emotional and psychological well-being of individuals and families in our care. Your expertise will contribute to the development of tailored treatment plans, guiding clients through their mental health challenges and facilitating transformative change.

About the Organization

At St. Jude Behavioral Health Center, we are committed to reshaping the mental healthcare landscape. Our experienced team of behavioral health professionals collaborates continuously to ensure clients receive the highest quality of care wherever they are, every day.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, catering to the needs and preferences of our therapists while ensuring a supportive and collegial environment. Our outpatient office serves as a hub for collaboration, consultation, and administrative support, enabling you to focus on psychotherapy without the need for excessive paperwork or logistical concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations and assessments to thoroughly understand each client's mental health issues, needs, and goals, ensuring an individualized approach to therapy.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, applying a range of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to empower clients in their journey toward personal growth and emotional balance.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish clear therapeutic objectives, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans based on feedback and observed outcomes, ensuring a responsive and adaptive therapeutic process.
  • Engage in regular peer supervision and team meetings to discuss case strategies and share insights, fostering a robust professional learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring continuity of care and data protection.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on diverse client demographics, including adults, children, and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Your ability to connect with clients of varying backgrounds will be essential in delivering effective interventions and support.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field, along with full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating substantial exposure to therapy practices.
  • Proficient in therapeutic techniques designed for various settings and populations, showcasing adaptability in your practice methods.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, with a focus on ethical practice and continued professional development.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a remote environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms to facilitate efficient client management and communication.
  • Direct experience in crisis intervention and the ability to provide emergency support to clients as needed.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, complemented by a lucrative sign-on bonus structure. Our benefits package includes flexible work hours to support work/life balance, an above-market compensation plan with unlimited earning potential, and a Long-Term Incentive Program featuring annual equity awards to enhance your investment in our organization.

Additional benefits include comprehensive administrative support, professional development opportunities, and a supportive and collaborative work culture that values your contributions and helps nurture your growth as a professional in the behavioral health field.
