Job description

Location: Oregon, Remote 
Summary:

Harbour is seeking an External Trade Sales Representative to grow our luxury trade business within an assigned territory. This is an in-house, field-based position dedicated exclusively to Harbour. The representative will not work from a showroom or carry other furniture/design lines. The role is focused on developing new business, building relationships within the design community, and driving territory growth. 

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, landscape architects, and other luxury trade professionals. 
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, presentations, and regular field activity. 
  • Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and lunch-and-learns. 
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and track opportunities and client activity in CRM. 
  • Build strong knowledge of Harbour collections, materials, finishes, and capabilities. 
  • Participate in weekly sales calls and team meetings to review pipeline, activity, opportunities, and priorities. 
  • Attendance at High Point Market each spring and fall is an essential part of the role.
  • Frequent travel throughout the year is expected, with an emphasis on consistent in-person engagement and relationship-building within the design community and key accounts.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of outside, territory, trade, or business-development sales experience. 
  • Experience within luxury furnishings, interiors, architectural products, building products, or another design-driven industry preferred. ● Existing relationships within the A&D and luxury trade community are highly valued. 
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and follow-through skills. ● Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory. 
  • Polished, professional presence with an appreciation for luxury design and service.

Employment Information:
Compensation:  $80,000-85,000/year plus commissions
