Position Overview

Access Healthcare is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our mental health team. This is a full-time remote position located within the Santa Rosa, California area. The successful candidate will provide expert counseling services to improve the emotional well-being of individuals and families, facilitating therapeutic support through various mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct direct counseling sessions with patients, including families, couples, and children, focusing on their unique needs and treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic modalities, adjusting approaches as necessary to address the specific concerns of your clients.
  • Engage with an interdisciplinary team during family care meetings, sharing insights and strategies that promote holistic support and wrap-around services.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards, including confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, while providing therapy.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques and interventions to address issues such as mental health disorders, relationship dynamics, and family conflicts.
  • Provide crisis intervention and resolution strategies, helping clients navigate challenging situations with calm and professionalism.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with families, couples, and children dealing with a range of issues, from stress and anxiety to complex relational dynamics and trauma. Our clinic services a diverse population, offering you the opportunity to apply culturally sensitive therapy tailored to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in a relevant field is required; a Masterโ€™s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Must possess a current and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, or families.
  • Strong ability to respond effectively to crises and create a safe environment for clients to openly discuss their challenges.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital tools and teletherapy platforms is advantageous.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 1 year of focused experience working with children, couples, or families specifically in clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and capability in handling a diverse range of mental health issues, family structures, and therapeutic approaches.
  • In-depth understanding of ethical practices, confidentiality requirements, and state regulations that guide mental health practice.
