Remote Labview Software Engineer information

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Labview Software Engineers, and how can they be addressed?

One common challenge for Remote Labview Software Engineers is maintaining seamless communication with hardware teams, as physical access to test equipment is often limited. This can be addressed by leveraging remote desktop tools, establishing clear documentation, and scheduling regular video meetings to review system setups and test results. Additionally, collaborating closely with onsite colleagues and utilizing simulated environments can help bridge the gap when direct hardware interaction is not possible. Staying proactive in communication and troubleshooting helps ensure projects stay on track despite the distance.

Job description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

We are seeking a high-velocity Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in a fast-paced startup environment. This role is designed for a self-starting engineer who can deliver end-to-end solutions independently with minimal technical guidance.
You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle - from crafting responsive front-end interfaces to architecting robust backend APIs and optimizing complex database procedures. Operating in a "follow-the-sun" model, you will collaborate closely with both on-shore and off-shore team members to ensure continuous delivery and high-quality releases.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Independent Delivery: Own technical tasks from inception to deployment. You are expected to research, architect, and implement solutions with little to no oversight.

  • Full Stack Development: Build and maintain scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot), React (or Angular), and PL/SQL.

  • Global Collaboration: Work effectively within an on-shore/off-shore model. This includes participating in cross-time-zone syncs and ensuring seamless hand-offs between global teams.

  • Performance Optimization: Write high-performance PL/SQL code and tune existing procedures to ensure database efficiency.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, and ensure all code adheres to security standards (PHI/PII compliance).

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 - 8 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.

  • Startup/High-Velocity Background: Proven experience working in fast-paced environments with rapid release cycles (Agile/Scrum).

  • Independent Track Record: Demonstrated ability to take a project from a vague requirement to a production-ready solution without heavy architectural supervision.

  • Distributed Team Experience: At least 2 years of experience working directly with offshore development teams, including managing hand-offs and documentation.

  • Domain Expertise: (Preferred) Experience in industries with high data-compliance needs, such as Healthcare, PBM, or Finance.

  • Primary Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

  • Alternative: In lieu of a specific CS degree, 10+ years of documented, high-level professional software engineering experience will be considered.

  • Advanced Degrees: A master's degree (MS) in Computer Science is a plus and may offset some years of experience.

Certifications(Optional but Valued):

  • Oracle Certified Professional (PL/SQL).

  • AWS/Azure Certified Developer.

  • Java SE Programmer certifications.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Java Ecosystem: Advanced experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot (Data, Security, MVC).

  • Front-End: Proficiency in React (preferred) or Angular (version 12+), including state management and responsive design.

  • Database: Expert-level PL/SQL (Stored procedures, triggers, complex joins, and performance tuning).

  • Tools: Mastery of Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
