Job description

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00AM - 5:00 PM and other shifts as needed.
Location: Remote

JOB SUMMARY:
This position focuses on driving maximum territory growth and profitability by capturing new
accounts and upsell opportunities within the designated geographic and medical specialty
territory. Provides ongoing strategic selling activities to drive growth with a high degree of
efficiency and proficiency. Acts as a sales consultant for laboratory testing and other services
offered by TriCore laboratories and its partnered reference laboratories. Exercises independent
judgment, self-motivation, problem solving abilities, analytical skills, and confidentiality in
performing assigned duties. Requires travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Deliver expertise in consultative laboratory selling to new and existing TriCore customers
within an assigned territory.
a. Develop exceptional new and existing relationships within new and assigned
accounts to promote TriCore interests and drive sales goals.
b. Maintain and grow current accounts through Strategic Business Calls and
consultative dialog based on the client organizations strategy and critical success
factors.
c. Develop value-based relationships within healthcare organizations to drive sales
growth goals within the territory.
d. Grow healthcare accounts to meet or exceed sales objectives of the organization.
2. Organize and coordinate timely responses to fulfill Requests for Proposals within the
designated territory to capture or grow accounts.
3. Prepare and submit proposals for new accounts as necessary and consistent with pricing
policy and review procedure.
4. Periodically review and manage Laboratory Service Agreement contracts for accounts
within designated territory.
5. Work with laboratory supervisors and departments to solve problems, set up new clients
and handle special requests.
6. Utilize expertise gained from laboratory departments Subject Matter Experts and Medical
Directors to increase knowledge for client consultation and meeting sales objectives.
7. Provide training to clients for onboarding, retention, problem resolution, and client service
needs.
8. Assist and guide Communications in developing appropriate marketing tools when
assigned.
9. Effectively plan, organize and execute sales approach for territory.
10.Develop effective sales techniques and tactics including Strategic Business Calls and other
Phase 3 tactics.
11.Maintain effective call cycle and client records in the Client Relationship Manager,
SalesForce.
12.Maintain high standards of technical knowledge of new and existing tests offered by
TriCore and its partnered laboratories and
13.Maintain high standards of understanding and knowledge of medical specialties and the
illness characteristics of their patient populations.
14.Maintain high standards of national trends in governmental and private insurance
guidelines and regulations including Prior Authorization and Medical Necessity
requirements.
15.Submit weekly and monthly reports including but not limited to expense reports as
deemed necessary by management.
16.Create and generate reports of pipeline and status of leads utilizing the Client
Relationship Manager, SalesForce.
17.Provide training to new and existing customers on TriCore IT products and testing
services.
18. Other assigned duties
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and
experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Must meet one of the following:
โ€ข Five (5) years of sales experience
โ€ข Three (3) years of relevant healthcare or medical laboratory sales / service experience
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข Valid driver's license for state of residence
โ€ข Good driving record. Must be insurable by lab insurance carrier
โ€ข Must be willing to travel as appropriate for territory development and to sales meetings
PREFERENCES:
โ€ข Medical laboratory experience
โ€ข CRM/Sales Force information technology tools experience
