Role Overview

As a Revenue Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our No Surprises Act (NSA) strategy. In this fast-paced administrative position, you will manage and triage a high volume of emails while serving as a key point of contact for CMS, payers, and third-party entities.

Because this role relies heavily on traditional revenue cycle collection functions, a foundational understanding of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) space and health insurance terminology is crucial to your success. If you have an investigative mindset, an eye for detail, and a desire to grow your RCM career, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Communications: Efficiently process a high-volume email inflow for the NSA workstream, ensuring swift and accurate responses.

  • Data Tracking: Meticulously track and update dispute statuses using Microsoft Excel.

  • Arbitration Support: Analyze and interpret complex requests from arbitrators to provide clear, accurate, and timely responses.

  • Problem Solving: Apply your deep knowledge of the NSA workstream to develop effective solutions to shifting payer and arbitrator behaviors.

  • Compliance & Deadlines: Maintain a strong understanding of NSA principles to ensure strict adherence to all process deadlines.

  • Portal Navigation: Utilize various payer portals to verify patient eligibility, obtain remittance advice, and check claim statuses.

What You Bring (Must-Haves)
  • Proven experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).

  • Solid understanding of health insurance terminology and payer behaviors.

  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.

  • The ability to thrive in a high-volume production environment where both speed and uncompromising accuracy are required.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Soft Skills & Attributes
  • Investigative Mindset: You enjoy digging into the details to find the right answer.

  • High Attention to Detail: You rarely miss the small stuff, even when processing large amounts of data.

  • Self-Starter: You are highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.

  • Eager to Learn: You have a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow alongside the team.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)
  • Familiarity with CPT coding and specific payer portals.

  • Prior administrative work experience.

  • A strong, demonstrated desire to build a long-term career in revenue cycle operations.

Why Join Us?
  • Work from Anywhere: We are a fully remote organization.

  • Career Advancement: We offer clear growth opportunities and love to promote from within.

  • Incredible Culture: We are highly intentional about fostering a strong, positive, and supportive culture that champions our teammates' goals for internal fulfillment and success.
