This role is essential in delivering high-quality therapeutic services to our clients, particularly those grappling with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. As an LCSW, you will play a vital role in improving mental health outcomes and fostering a supportive environment for individuals and families.

About the Organization

Pathway Counseling Services is a community-focused health clinic based in Portland, Oregon. We are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of our communities by providing accessible, patient-centered healthcare services, particularly in under-served areas, irrespective of a client’s ability to pay. Our innovative approach emphasizes global perspectives while implementing local solutions. We strive to serve as a model for similar health centers, ensuring that our mission of health equity guides our daily operations and interactions.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to deliver care from the comfort of your home while maintaining flexibility. Our organizational culture promotes collaboration and inclusion, where you will work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Our team-oriented approach encourages open communication and shared goals, centered on patient care and community service.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Pathway Counseling Services, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting clinical assessments and developing integrated care plans for clients based on their unique needs.

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and support services.
  • Monitoring client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and ensuring timely data entry for reporting purposes.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and committees to contribute to service delivery improvement initiatives.
  • Offering crisis intervention and support as necessary, utilizing effective de-escalation skills.
  • Engaging clients through culturally competent practices, ensuring respect for their diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with clients dealing with chronic mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related disorders. Many of our clients come from under-resourced backgrounds, presenting unique challenges that require sensitivity and a tailored approach to care.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field.
  • Active licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon.
  • Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies for diverse populations, alongside crisis management capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ethical practices and professional standards in social work.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred, we also value fresh perspectives. Candidates with specific experience in working with under-served populations or familiarity with integrated care models will be prioritized. Proficiency in electronic health records and a strong understanding of confidentiality regulations are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

  • Flexible work hours and a fully remote work environment.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and sick leave policies.
  • Continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive supervision and a commitment to fostering your professional growth.
