Solenis is looking for a Service Technician to support the sales and service efforts throughout the Akron/Massillon, Ohio area. This individual will be responsible for conducting basic lab testing, equipment installation and maintenance, chemical transfers, and process monitoring at customer sites. The role requires maintaining accurate inventory records, documenting results, supporting customer operations, and working safely in an industrial environment.
  • Perform routine testing and monitoring at customer sites, including data entry and contributing to service report preparation.
  • Interface directly with customers to identify and address issues related to chemical programs or equipment performance.
  • Manage product inventory, including deliveries to process units and offloading chemicals into customer storage tanks.
  • Adjust chemical feed rates based on routine testing and monitoring to ensure optimal treatment performance.
  • Alert site managers or support engineers to customer issues, operational concerns, or opportunities for improvement and assist with troubleshooting efforts.
  • Conduct expanded process testing to identify dosage optimization opportunities or mechanical impacts affecting performance.
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment.
  • Partner with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Position is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
  • Chemical handling, water treatment, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the Akron/Massillon territory.
