Ochsner Health is seeking a dynamic operational leader to serve as Director, Clinical Operations for the Children's Congenital Heart Program, one of the organization's most significant strategic growth initiatives. This role will help drive the continued expansion of Ochsner Children's Congenital Heart Program and support its evolution into a nationally recognized pediatric cardiovascular destination center and future Center of Excellence.
Reporting within the ambulatory operations structure, the Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across a highly specialized and rapidly growing congenital heart service line spanning Louisiana and Mississippi. The position carries responsibility for operational performance, program growth, financial management, business planning, quality outcomes, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination across both outpatient and inpatient environments.

Education

Required -High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Masters Degree in healthcare or related field


Work Experience

Required -

  • 10 yearsrelated health care experience, including 3 years of supervision or management experience

Preferred -

  • Pediatric healthcare operations
  • Congenital heart or cardiovascular service line leadership
  • Experience spanning both ambulatory and inpatient settings
  • Exposure to cardiovascular surgery, Cath Lab, imaging, and critical care operations
  • Experience in an ambulatory setting

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Drive operational excellence across all aspects of the congenital heart program
  • Lead strategic planning and support continued regional growth
  • Develop and manage budgets while maintaining financial accountability
  • Utilize data, analytics, and market intelligence to support business planning and decision-making
  • Build scalable operational infrastructure to support future program expansion
  • Partner with physician leaders to optimize patient access, care coordination, and service delivery
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, quality improvement, and performance enhancement
  • Support the organization's vision of creating a premier pediatric cardiovascular destination program
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen in order to manage within a budget and understand financial statements sufficient to analyze trends and make recommendations.
  • Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., more than 8 hours a day).
