Job description

CAREER OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support the technology that keeps our team productive and connected. This role will provision access and user accounts, manage and configure SaaS applications, prepare and maintain end-user laptops, support conference room technology, track hardware inventory, and work with our global team to resolve helpdesk tickets. The ideal candidate is interested in learning new technologies, service-oriented, organized, security-conscious, and comfortable balancing day-to-day support with proactive improvements to IT systems and processes.
This role is part of the IT Team and reports to the Director of IT. This position collaborates with a talented team of IT professionals responsible for building and supporting the company cloud and SaaS environments, as well as the facility technology and end-user hardware and software.
The typical work schedule falls within a nine-hour window from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific time, but specific days and hours will adjust according to the company's evolving needs. Flexibility is key, as occasional evenings, weekends, or late nights may be required to provide support for a global workforce and customer base. This role may also involve participation in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SaaS platform administration, access management, and end-user lifecycle management
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, including equipment provisioning, account setup, system access, roles and permissions, and access removal.
  • Troubleshoot application, access, authentication, and integration issues.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and maintain accurate records of applications, ownership, licensing, and user access.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support application changes.

Help desk and end-user support
  • Provide timely hardware, software, and system support to employees.
  • Manage and resolve help desk ticketing requests, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Develop, document, and follow help desk procedures, support protocols, tutorials, and knowledge base articles in Confluence and other systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • 5 or more years proven work experience as a Systems Administrator and Desktop Support Specialist
  • Remote laptop fleet management using an MDM platform such as Rippling, JAMF, or Mosyle to deploy, patch, and manage MacOS equipment.
  • Experience integrating AI into your everyday workflows.
  • Google Workspace or Office 365 experience managing users, mail flow, permissions, drives, and groups.
  • Understanding the application of information security principles and techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Scripting and automation experience with Python or BASH, or other languages

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced experience using AI such as building custom tools or automations
  • Cloud Platform management experience such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with containerized workloads using Docker or Kubernetes
  • Integrating API calls within scripts or workflow automations

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
