As a Software Engineer III, you are a senior contributor to an engineering team responsible for development and support of a Payment Integrity SaaS product. You demonstrate expertise in core technologies, consistently deliver on complex sprint commitments, and model engineering best-practices in code quality, solutioning, and engineering process. Responsibilities:
  • Creating and implementing enterprise-class SaaS software solutions
  • System analysis, development and testing of software products
  • Developing with third-party platforms (i.e. applications, APIs, etc.) for customization and integration with company's core products
  • Working independently on complex software solutions from start to finish
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in solutioning and coding best practices
  • Lead technical conversations driving decisions around quality and delivery, including application of SOLID principles
  • Help drive initiatives related to quality attributes and contribute to improving technical standards across the team
  • Advise on work items in planning and during sprints to help achieve goals and promote high quality in deliverables
  • Find and implement quality improvements through refactoring and code rework in a targeted manner
  • Actively present findings and solutions in cross-organizational or community groups to help further knowledge in others

You might be ideal if you have:
The Must-Haves
  • 4+ years of experience writing enterprise-class software solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience in an enterprise-class setting
  • Experience and aptitude with the .NET Framework and C#
  • Experience and aptitude with SOAP and REST Web APIs (i.e. XML/JSON, WSDL, etc.)
  • Experience writing back-end and/or middleware software solutions
  • Experience with SQL and/or No-SQL databases, such as MySQL or MongoDB
  • Experience writing Front-End software utilizing common Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, Node, etc.)
  • Positive, self-motivated, driven, and teachable attitude
  • High standard of personal integrity and accountability
  • Passion for software engineering with a team-oriented, customer-focused mindset
  • Passion and aptitude for solving complex problems

Preferences
The Like-to-Haves
  • Healthcare system experience, especially with claims, member/eligibility, and provider data
  • Experience and proficiency with ALL parts of defining, designing, and implementing scalable, enterprise-class software solutions
  • Strong communication skills, especially aptitude to break down complex problems into simple, non-technical terms
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, including serverless architecture and scalable cloud design
  • Technical documentation skills are a plus
  • Agile or technical certifications are a plus
