What is remote kitting?

Remote kitting refers to the process of assembling and organizing sets of components or materials needed for a specific task or project, typically done remotely from a central location. This role often involves coordinating inventory, packaging items together, and ensuring the correct components are sent to the right destination. Remote kitting is widely used in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and e-commerce to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Workers in this role may use software tools to manage orders and track shipments, all while working from home or offsite locations.

What are the typical daily tasks and communication methods for a remote kitting role?

In a Remote Kitting position, you’ll typically spend your day receiving digital orders, organizing materials, and preparing kits for shipment from your home or a remote workspace. Communication with supervisors and team members is usually handled via email, instant messaging platforms, and virtual meetings to coordinate order updates and resolve any supply issues. Staying organized and responsive is crucial, as you may need to track inventory levels and report progress regularly. This role often requires a high level of self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a distributed team environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote kitting specialist, and why are they important?

Position Summary

Knight-Swift Supply Chain is seeking a results-oriented Sales Executive III to drive new revenue growth by acquiring mid-market enterprise clients who require integrated supply chain solutions.

The ideal candidate has a verifiable track record selling third-party logistics (3PL) services, including e-commerce fulfillment and B2B distribution, and is prepared to manage the full sales cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a mid-level 3 Sales Executive, you will be expected to manage a full sales pipeline with minimal supervision, focusing on solutions that solve complex customer challenges:

· Target Market Focus: Actively prospect and sell customized solutions to companies in two primary segments:

o E-commerce Fulfillment (DTC/D2C): Targeting high-growth brands needing advanced services (pick/pack, shipping, returns, technology integration).

o B2B Distribution: Targeting established brands needing warehousing, retail compliance, and value-added services (kitting, assembly, repackaging).

· Solution Design & Proposal: Conduct deep dive needs assessments to understand prospects' supply chain challenges (e.g., high shipping costs, slow delivery times, inventory inaccuracy). Work cross-functionally with Operations and IT to design and present tailored, cost-effective fulfillment proposals.

· Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed aggressive sales quotas with a goal of closing $6 to $8 Million annually.

· CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records of all sales activity, client communication, and pipeline stage management within the CRM system (e.g., HubSpot).

· Market Strategy: Provide valuable market feedback and competitive insights to the Marketing team to help drive leads.

Required Qualifications

This role requires a candidate who can demonstrate success and is ready to take ownership of a territory and pipeline.

o Strong understanding of modern warehousing technology (WMS, APIs, e-commerce platform integrations).

o Familiarity with common value-added services (kitting, labeling, returns processing).

· Skills:

o Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.

o Excellent written and verbal communication, and formal presentation skills.

o Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).

· Self-Motivated: Highly driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
