The Territory Manager is responsible for calling on new and existing assigned customers for purposes of sales growth, promotional activities, new product introduction, problem resolution, customer training, and developing the dealers business. This role is responsible for territory saturation and sales growth through excellence in customer service and utilization of company sales tools and systems. This role calls on customers independently, with the sales manager, in person and via phone calls. Additionally, this role reports on market competition and other territory sales influences.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages sales and service operations across a broad customer base, including wholesalers, contractors, and designers.

  • Implements territory-specific merchandising and marketing strategies.

  • Maintains regular sales calls and delivers exceptional customer service.

  • Builds strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support wholesale and multi-unit initiatives.

  • Attends trade shows and industry events.

  • Drives customer engagement through consistent follow-up and strategic communication.

  • Develops and executes territory sales plans aligned with company goals.

  • Safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness and safe work practices

  • Attends training and travels as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned in alignment with evolving organizational needs

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; some college coursework in Business or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience.

  • At least 3 years of sales experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Skilled in operating standard office technology (computers, scanners, phones, virtual meeting platforms, etc.).

  • Strong aptitude for numerical analysis and mathematical operations.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This full-time position requires approximately 40 hours per week and involves regular physical and sensory activity, including:
  • Bending, lifting, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Prolonged sitting (up to 8 hours), with intermittent standing and walking throughout the shift

  • Continuous use of fingers, hands, and arms for computer and office-related tasks

  • Frequent use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners (up to 8 hours daily)

  • Regular verbal communication via phone and in-person interactions (up to 6 hours daily)
