Key Responsibilities

In this vital role, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client's unique needs and therapeutic goals.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide clients through their recovery journey.
• Providing psychoeducation and emotional support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders and available treatment options.
• Regularly monitoring client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance effectiveness and promote positive outcomes.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards to support client care.
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings for ongoing professional development and collective learning.
• Advocating for clients' mental health needs, raising awareness about stigma, and actively supporting marginalized populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly impact individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also engage with vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, reinforcing our commitment to serving those most in need. This position requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by these groups, allowing you to tailor your therapeutic approach accordingly.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Florida.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude toward clients, accompanied by a keen understanding of the sensitivities involved in mental health care.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences will be considered advantageous:

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those affected by addiction or trauma.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and collaborative treatment approaches within a community health setting.
• Previous involvement in case management or advocacy within a mental health framework.

Compensation and Benefits
