This position is designed to be fully remote, enabling counselors to connect with clients in a comfortable and convenient setting. As part of our community health clinic, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes primary care providers, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff, ensuring comprehensive care for all clients. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient intakes that encompass diagnostic and functional evaluations, leading to informed recommendations for treatment plans.
• Providing brief, focused therapeutic interventions for clients presenting with a range of mental health issues.
• Coordinating with primary care providers to develop and monitor individualized treatment goals based on established guidelines for Federally Qualified Health Centers.
• Identifying patients at risk and developing proactive measures to prevent the escalation of their conditions.
• Engaging in follow-up assessments to ensure patients are progressing, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Documenting patient progress and diagnostic information accurately in treatment charts to maintain meticulous records that reflect their journey.
• Offering consultation to clinic management on the efficacy of behavioral health services and potential areas for program evaluation.
• Assisting clients with self-management strategies to support them in navigating their treatment pathways.
• Ensuring strict adherence to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling.
• A current and valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) designation in Maryland.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, DSM-IV diagnoses, and therapeutic techniques.
• Strong familiarity with community resources and their utilization in the context of behavioral health.
• Ability to engage constructively with clients and establish rapport quickly to facilitate effective treatment.

While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in family therapy, group therapy, or child psychotherapy.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enhancing communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proven track record in a healthcare or community health environment focusing on mental health services.

Crystal Lake Families & Kids Services offers a competitive compensation package ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
