K12 Regional Sales Manager, Southwest Territory

Our client, a leader in K-12 multisensory math programs is looking for a dynamic Regional Sales Manager, Southwest territory to join their team. This person will play a critical role in scaling revenue growth within their territory, while building a strong, results oriented sales culture and team.

 

The Regional Sales Manager, Southwest will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high performing field (hybrid) sales team across the Southwest region of the United States. This role will work closely with senior sales leadership to execute the company’s go to market strategy across K12 districts and schools driving consistent and predictable revenue performance. This role is deeply collaborative with sales, professional learning, marketing, product and operations. The Regional Sales Manager will oversee all aspects of regional sales execution, including territory strategy, pipeline development, forecasting, and team performance management. This is a highly data driven leadership role that requires strong use of metrics, KPIs, and reporting to guide decision making and ensure accountability across the full sales funnel.

This role will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Location: The candidate must reside within the designated territory, with preferred states being Texas, Kansas or Colorado (Other states that fall within the territory include AZ, NM and OK).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a smaller team of field-based (hybrid) sales representatives, fostering consistent execution, professional growth, and achievement of individual and regional sales goals
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, finance, product, and operations, to ensure alignment and collaboration towards revenue goals
  • Drive regional sales performance through clear expectations, regular coaching, and structured performance management, including stepping in to directly manage open territories as needed
  • Establish and manage accountability for achieving agreed upon KPIs across the full sales funnel, from prospecting activity and meetings booked through new business, renewals, and expansion within existing institutions
  • Conduct regular forecasting and pipeline reviews with sales representatives to ensure accuracy, visibility, and strong pipeline health, using data to drive forecast accuracy and achieve quota
  • Utilize CRM and reporting tools to monitor leading and lagging indicators of sales performance, ensuring consistent pipeline hygiene, opportunity progression, and forecast reliability
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, customer success, product, and operations teams to align regional execution with Company priorities and support seamless customer engagement
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s full portfolio of digital and physical curriculum offerings, as well as customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Manage regional travel and expenses in alignment with budget expectations while ensuring effective field presence and customer engagement

 

 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of successful field-oriented consultative sales experience within the education, publishing, ed-tech, or similar industry, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing and developing remote/field-based sales team members with a strong “player-coach” mentality.
  • Experience selling or managing a team that has sold Literacy Products, Math Products or SPED Resources a plus.
  • High level of comfort using sales tools, CRMs, and other technologies for analyzing sales data and creating accurate regional forecasts
  • Customer service orientated
  • Exceptional sales skills including strategic thinking, prospecting, planning, presentation, negotiation, relationship building, territory management and active listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with advanced presentation and technology skills
  • A willingness to travel to support team member development and success. As well as travel to sales leadership/team meetings without restrictions. Estimated travel 40%+
