Job description

ENVENTION has an immediate opening for a Junior to Mid-level Software Engineer to work on an ongoing program that provides interoperability with tactical data protocols (e.g., Link 16, Link 11, and JREAP), delivers certified tactical network integration, and provides message forwarding solutions. This program contributes to the single integrated picture of the operational air space and provides warfighters the capability to view the battlespace in real-time over multiple mediums. This is a hybrid position that also requires regular on-site support.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test tactical data communications software for multiple weapons systems.
  • Design, develop, and test desktop and/or web-based graphical user interface solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from receipt of system requirements through support for final integration testing.
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design.
  • Strong coding and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • BS and/or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math with 0-6 years experience in a related field
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with the Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge of Tactical Data Link Protocols (Link-16, Link-11/B, JREAP, or other)
  • Experience with HTML5 and JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control and issue tracking applications.
  • Experience with network programming and serial communication.
