Job Title: Part-Time Junior Systems Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Schedule: 18 hours per week
Pay Rate: $36.06/hour
Security Requirement: Must be able to pass a mid-level background investigation

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Junior Systems Engineer to support cybersecurity and systems engineering efforts across cloud and IT environments. This remote role is ideal for professionals with foundational experience in federal cybersecurity frameworks and cloud implementations who are looking to contribute part-time to impactful work in a secure IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of cybersecurity engineering requirements and authorization processes including FedRAMP and RMF.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of secure IT and Cloud-based systems.
  • Assist with systems engineering activities for large-scale federal and/or commercial Cloud solutions.
  • Participate in Federal Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies, processes, and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet evolving system and security requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in:

Certifications (one or more required):

  • Practical knowledge of federal IT security standards and frameworks
