Can junior developers work remotely?

Availability for remote work depends on the employer's policies and the specific job requirements.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Junior .NET Developers, and how can they be overcome?

Remote Junior .NET Developers often encounter challenges such as effective communication with team members, managing time independently, and understanding complex codebases without in-person guidance. To overcome these obstacles, it's important to utilize collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Slack, actively participate in virtual meetings, and seek mentorship from more experienced developers. Regularly asking questions, documenting your work, and leveraging online resources can also help you adapt to remote workflows and accelerate your learning curve.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

A remote junior .NET developer can earn $2000 a week by working multiple freelance or contract projects, increasing billable hours, or securing high-paying roles that require advanced skills and certifications. Building a strong portfolio, gaining experience with popular tools like Visual Studio, and continuously improving coding skills can help achieve higher income levels from home.

Will AI replace .NET developers?

AI is unlikely to fully replace .NET developers, as their role involves designing, coding, and maintaining complex software systems that require human judgment and problem-solving skills. AI tools can assist developers by automating repetitive tasks and improving productivity, but human expertise remains essential for architecture, debugging, and understanding client needs.

What jobs pay $10,000 a month without a degree?

A remote Junior .NET Developer can potentially earn $10,000 or more per month with experience, strong programming skills, and knowledge of frameworks like ASP.NET. High-paying tech roles often require proficiency in coding, problem-solving, and sometimes certifications, but they do not always require a formal degree. Building a portfolio and gaining certifications in relevant technologies can help achieve this income level.

What is a Remote Junior .NET Developer?

A Remote Junior .NET Developer is an entry-level software developer who works primarily with Microsoft's .NET framework to build and maintain applications, websites, or services. The 'remote' aspect means they perform their job duties from outside a traditional office setting, often from home or another remote location. Junior developers typically have less experience and work under the guidance of more senior team members, focusing on learning, bug fixes, and smaller coding tasks. Their responsibilities may include writing code, participating in code reviews, debugging, and collaborating with other team members virtually.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Junior .NET Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Junior .NET Developer, you need a solid understanding of C#, .NET frameworks, and basic software development principles, typically supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, SQL databases, and cloud platforms like Azure, as well as any relevant Microsoft certifications, is highly valuable. Strong communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills help you collaborate effectively and manage tasks independently in a remote environment. These competencies ensure you can deliver quality code, adapt to evolving technologies, and contribute reliably to distributed development teams.

Are you a tax professional looking for more than year-end compliance work? Do you want to continually expand your expertise while applying it in deeper, more meaningful ways for clients? Do you want your career potential to expand without artificial limits in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment?

Role can be remote to the right person, but preferred in Louisville, KY office.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

  • No billable hours in a non-traditional public accounting model

  • Salary + highly competitive annual bonus targets

  • Incentive equity opportunities available for high performers

  • Relocation bonus available - We'll help you make Louisville home

  • National client exposure - Serve sophisticated clients from across the U.S.

  • Collaborative, growing team - Work in a high-growth, team-based culture that values autonomy, accountability, and shared success.

As one of the largest and fastest-growing Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) in the country, we offer a unique platform where tax professionals are embedded in long-term client relationships and actively shape financial outcomes for high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, and closely held businesses.

As a Tax Manager on our Louisville-based Central Tax Team, you'll have the opportunity to grow beyond traditional boundaries. You'll collaborate closely with investment, estate, and financial planning professionals to continuously apply and expand your tax expertise across a broad range of real-world client situations-far beyond the preparation of returns.

A Role Designed for Growth and Breadth

This is not a static compliance role. It's a career path designed for tax professionals who want to:

  • Develop deeper expertise in integrated tax, estate, and financial planning strategies

  • See how tax decisions ripple across investments, liquidity planning, business succession, and legacy goals

  • Build judgment and advisory skills through ongoing client engagement-not just annual deadlines

  • Evolve alongside a fast-growing firm that values curiosity, initiative, and professional development

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and sign individual and business tax returns for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients nationwide.

  • Lead tax planning conversations in collaboration with Cerity Partners' financial advisors, presenting strategy and projections in client-facing meetings.

  • Prepare and review tax projections for estimated payments, charitable strategies, retirement planning, and Roth conversions.

  • Act as the dedicated tax advisor to clients and advisory teams, helping secure and deepen long-term relationships.

  • Mentor junior staff, sharing expertise and promoting professional growth across the team.

  • Ensure tax compliance while identifying strategic planning opportunities to enhance the client experience.

  • Contribute to process improvements, helping refine workflow and support scalability as our Central Tax team grows.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with private equity, executive compensation, high complexity K-1 activity, and multi-state filings at the individual level

  • Growth mindset - desire to improve, learn, and evolve in a high-performing team

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dense environment during tax season

  • Interest in building a long-term career with access to unique career paths and advancement opportunities as Cerity Partners continues to grow

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation a plus)

  • CPA, EA, or JD designation required

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar setting

  • Proven experience working with high-net-worth individuals and family entities

  • Proficiency in technology-driven tax workflows (Thomson Reuters experience preferred)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
