POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an accomplished Cloud Solutions Architect with experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade SaaS applications, modern cloud platforms, and AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience across a broad range of enterprise technologies, including Angular, .NET, JavaScript, web application servers, databases, microservices, and cloud-native architectures. In addition to leading application modernization efforts, this role will help drive the adoption of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), designing applications that integrate with AI platforms and APIs to enhance customer, associate, and business experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce highly available and scalable design and architecture.
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Act as the technical lead for assigned projects, owning the solution architecture, guiding the project team, overseeing technical execution, tracking progress, and leading project reviews with IT and business stakeholders throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Architect and develop applications that integrate with commercial and open-source LLM platforms through APIs and SDKs, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead the design of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions by integrating enterprise knowledge sources, databases, APIs, and retail systems.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend appropriate models, frameworks, and cloud services to support business objectives.
  • Understand the current application infrastructure and functionalities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with the core AWS services, plus the specifics mentioned in this job description.
  • Practical experience with .NET framework, SQL Server, Oracle, and design/architectural patterns.
  • Experience with ECS Fargate, Lambda, AuroraDB and DynamoDB.
  • Experience integrating applications with LLM APIs such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar AI platforms.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, model selection, token optimization, embeddings, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Strong notions of security best practices and ability to implement OAuth2.0 authentication for SSO and API Auths.
  • Practical experience with TEST APIs, Microservices design patterns, principles, and implementation.
  • Well defined communication skills and a demonstrated aptitude for communicating with both the technical staff and end-users to understand application requirements and design.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Analyzes business application requirements and develops specifications for database construction, data modeling, and normalization.

The salary range for this opportunity is $110,000 - $148,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
