Job description

Senior Application Developer (Dynamics 365)

Location: Remote with quarterly travel to Deerfield, IL
(2 days on site per week preferred for local candidates)
Type: Permanent/Direct Hire OR Contract-to-Hire

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Application Developer to play a key role in a large-scale enterprise transformation and ERP consolidation initiative. This individual will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable solutions across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, leveraging the Power Platform and Azure to modernize systems and improve business processes.

This role requires a strong blend of hands-on development, integration experience, and business-facing collaboration, with an emphasis on building user-friendly applications and driving best practices across the environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and customize solutions across Dynamics 365 applications to support evolving business needs
  • Build and enhance applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) and automate workflows using Power Automate
  • Develop and support integrations between Dynamics 365 and other systems using Azure services and APIs
  • Contribute to the consolidation of multiple ERP systems into a centralized platform
  • Establish and implement development standards, architecture patterns, and best practices
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with and help oversee work delivered by external Managed Service Providers (MSPs)

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
  • Experience working across Dynamics 365 applications, including Customer Engagement (CE) and Finance & Operations (F&O) environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate)
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, and JavaScript
  • Experience building integrations using Azure services and REST APIs
  • Background supporting enterprise transformation initiatives in complex environments
  • Experience within large consulting firms or enterprise organizations
  • Exposure to ERP consolidation or system modernization efforts
  • Experience working with or alongside Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
  • Familiarity with cost-conscious or private equity-backed environments
