Job Title: Sr. Java/WebSphere Developer
Duration: 8+ months
Location: Remote
JOB SUMMARY:
Sr. JAVA Developers are responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. Senior IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, and evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. You will plan, develop, test, and document systems and applications applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. You will evaluate user requests for new or modified application systems, such as for financial or human resource management systems, call center and online banking applications, statistical analysis of customer data relative to analytical modeling, or analyzing and developing specifications for mobile technologies. Determine feasibility, cost, and time required, compatibility with current system, and future development applications. Senior IT Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and the data processed or output by the application. Senior IT Developers lead efforts, oversee work results, provide training, and serve as a technical resource for other Developers.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with release procedures, coding design, and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures

o May include database knowledge in; DB2 SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc
• Proficiency in debugging a large and complex codebase
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
• Manipulate data from various sources/formats such as flat files, relational databases, non-relational databases, XML, JSON, etc.
Required Work Experience:
Minimum three (3) years relational database experience
5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
Required Education:
Related Bachelor's degree or related work experience
