About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Pharmacy Technology team, where you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling high-impact web applications that directly support patient health outcomes.

This role is ideal for a product-focused engineer with a strong foundation in modern front-end frameworks (React), experience working with PHP, Laravel, Tailwind, and MySQL. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys tackling complex problems and breaking them down into clear, practical solutions. You should be adaptable, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and easy to work with as you will collaborate closely with product, design, non-technical staff, and engineering teammates. The role involves integrating with external services and APIs, contributing to code quality, performance, and maintainability, and continuously improving how the team builds software. Experience in health-tech or pharmacy-related systems is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Write maintainable, well-tested code and help uphold coding standards and best practices
  • Work closely with engineers on other teams and projects whose systems interact with this platform to coordinate changes and integrations.
  • Design, maintain, and evolve database schemas; write efficient, reliable queries; and ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Help identify and drive incremental improvements to the platform's reliability, performance, and overall quality.
  • Keep an eye on platform health through metrics, logs, and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog), and assist in diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Stay informed on health-tech developments such as interoperability standards, drug databases, and industry platforms, and apply best practices where relevant.
  • Engage with non-technical and healthcare partners to clarify requirements and deliver thoughtful, practical software solutions.
  • Follow established SDLC processes and compliance requirements throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • Solid experience building and maintaining web applications using React on the front end and PHP (Laravel) with MySQL on the back end.
  • Experience working with external APIs and third-party services.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the health-tech, pharmacy, or other regulated industries a plus
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully, and is approachable and easy to work with in a collaborative team environment.
