Job Description:
Seeking a Sr. Staff Data Engineer to design, build, and evolve enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making. This individual will provide senior-level technical leadership across data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, governed, and aligned with enterprise cloud standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable enterprise data pipelines and data platform solutions
  • Build and optimize analytical data models for reporting and business intelligence use cases
  • Collaborate with architecture, analytics, governance, and application teams to deliver data solutions
  • Implement cloud-native and distributed data processing solutions
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and performance optimization across platforms
  • Support enterprise data integration initiatives and modernization efforts
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and orchestration processes
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions and strategic data initiatives
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices and scalable design
  • Troubleshoot complex data engineering and platform challenges

Requirements:

  • Must-Haves:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
    • 10 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform development
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
    • Extensive experience designing and building enterprise data pipelines and analytical data models
    • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and distributed data processing
    • Strong understanding of data architecture patterns, data integration, and performance optimization
    • Experience with AWS serverless technologies including Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
    • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
