Job Description:
The client is seeking a Senior Application Modernization Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise Azure cloud migration initiative focused on modernizing and migrating critical business applications from legacy environments into Azure.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Assess application portfolios for Azure migration readiness
  • Evaluate application dependencies, infrastructure requirements, and migration risks
  • Develop modernization strategies including rehosting, re-platforming, and refactoring recommendations
  • Execute and support large-scale Azure application migration efforts
  • Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders
  • Document migration plans, technical requirements, and modernization roadmaps
  • Support enterprise cloud transformation and datacenter exit initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices throughout migration programs
  • Troubleshoot migration issues and support post-migration optimization
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
  • 7 years of application modernization, cloud engineering, or migration experience
  • Proven experience participating in large-scale Azure migration programs involving dozens or hundreds of applications
  • Strong Azure migration planning and execution experience
  • Extensive .NET application experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications
  • Background working within large enterprise modernization or cloud transformation initiatives
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business units and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
